Washington D.C., our nation’s capital celebrates the coming of Spring with the National Cherry Blossom Festival! This is an annual event that runs for three weeks. This year it will be held from March 20- April 14, 2013. What to expect? See 3,000 cherry blossom trees bloom with beauty and over 200 cultural performances and special events around the monument. People from all over the country and the even world travel to Washington D.C. during this time to absorb the beauty of Spring!

The cherry blossom trees were given to our nation’s capital as gifts from the city of Tokyo, Japan. These beautiful trees represents the coming of the season of Spring.

New Jersey, known for it’s beautiful Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the coming of Spring! The festival is administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs. Every year, the park attracts many visitors from all over to see the cherry blossom trees in bloom. Many events are free and all are open to the public.
